Recently Intel debuted its newest addition to the VR headset realm with a demo of Project Alloy at Intel’s Developer Forum in San Francisco. The headset stands alone, is wireless, and provides a “merged reality” experience. It works by mapping your physical surroundings and layering a virtual reality over them. Learn More
SolarCity’s New Product
Elon Musk’s SolarCity announced earlier this month that it will be bringing a new product to the market by the end of the year — a high-tech roof integrated with solar panels. They have stressed that these are not solar panels installed on a roof, but the actual roof itself. Learn More
Samsung’s Digital Eye Endeavor
Samsung has partnered IBM’s brain-emulating computer chip, TrueNorth, with their Dynamic Vision Sensor essentially creating a digital eye. This could mean big changes for 3D maps and gesture controls. Learn More
