While it’s usually not advisable to try and travel north to Canada during one of the year’s fiercest snow storms, I braved a few cancelled flights and delays to go to the General Contractors Association of Ottawa meeting on Wednesday January 22nd to talk to their group about what’s coming in Construction Technology. We had a great, lively discussion about what’s here and what’s coming in tech and I presented some live demos of emerging tech. The group asked great questions about technology adoption rates, usability in the field, return on investment and successful businesses models for tech, among other things. I was, as I always am in Canada, impressed by the group’s professionalism, attentiveness, insightful questions and genuine interest in growing and changing their organizations for the better. They were impeccable hosts and took very good care of me during my stay despite the travel delays and schedule changes. Thanks to all of you!
