Extraterrestrial Construction Machinery

Japanese contractor, Kajima, is planning to partner with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (Jaxa) to develop automated machinery to work on construction projects in space. They plan to have software and hardware completed in the next fifteen to twenty-five years. Learn More

Human UI Bringing Parametric Modeling to the Masses

Global architecture and planning firm, NBBJ, released Human UI earlier this year. It is an open-source Grasshopper plugin that creates intuitive graphical interfaces for adjusting the parameters of building models in Rhino, helping address the learning curve non-programmers face. Learn More

Bringing Industrial Businesses to the Cloud

GE and Microsoft recently announced plans to collaborate on a variety of efforts to help industrial businesses digitally transform by leveraging IoT data with Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform. By combining Azure with GE’s Predix, industrial companies will gain access to capabilities such as natural language technology, AI, advanced data visualization, and more. Learn More
